Out and About:  Would you enjoy getting out more and meeting new people? How about attending activities/events in the community? The Out & About program offers a safe and fun way to socialize. Choose from an array of activities/events each month. Participants are responsible for costs such as event tickets, entrance fees, meals. Some events are free.Transportation can be arranged for a small fee. Pre-registration is required.

Cooking Up Connections:  Enjoy learning about healthy foods from a Nutritionist, while watching demonstration in a warm, kind, fun, educational environment for seniors in the community. A great way to meet new people; socialize and connect with others in a healthy way. Eat lunch together and take food home after each  session. There is a small fee associated with the program and assistance with transportation can be arranged, if needed. Pre-registration is required.

Better at Home Program: The Seniors Wellness Society co-delivers the Better at Home program in partnership with Penticton and District Community Resources Society. Better at Home is a program that gives seniors a helping hand with simple day-to-day tasks to assist them to remain  living independently, at home. Services may include friendly visiting, transportation to appointments or activities, grocery shopping, basic yard work, light housekeeping, simple home repair, and snow shoveling. Fees for services are determined on a sliding scale based on annual household income. Some services may be provided free of charge and are provided by a combination of paid staff and volunteers. Pre– registration is required.
